“My Kidney, Liver, And Eyes Are Failing – Ailing Music Star Daddy Fresh Makes Heartbreaking Revelation”

Veteran Nigerian musician, Innocent Onyebuchi, widely known as Daddy Fresh, has opened up on his battle with a life-threatening illness that has left him bedridden for over two years.

According to reports circulating online, the Ajegunle-born artiste revealed that he has exhausted all his resources while struggling to stay alive. In a video shared by filmmaker Kunle Afod on social media, Daddy Fresh could be seen lying weakly on a hospital bed as he recounted his ordeal.

Afod, who paid him a surprise visit, expressed deep concern over the singer’s deteriorating condition, describing him as one of Nigeria’s most talented yet neglected stars. The emotional clip showed a visibly frail Daddy Fresh, dressed in a blue sleeveless shirt, expressing shock and disbelief at Afod’s visit. “Na lie, how you take know say I dey here? You’re the last person I could think of. I was wondering if I was hallucinating again,” he said faintly.

Speaking about his health, the ‘Elerugbe Erue’ crooner disclosed that his kidneys, liver, and eyesight have all been affected. “My kidney, my liver, neuropathy. Eyes, two of them get issues, I don operate on this one, e no dey see again. I no dey see you,” he said painfully.

He further revealed that his blood level had dropped drastically to 25 percent, adding that he requires an urgent blood transfusion. “If I stand up here now, I go fall except somebody hold me. See my face, my knees, wounds because of falling like a child that is learning how to walk,” he lamented.

In addition to his health struggles, the singer shared that he has been issued a quit notice and could soon lose his home due to unpaid rent. “I have a few days in my house because of the rent. I have to move on to where I don’t know,” he said.

Despite his distressing circumstances, Daddy Fresh expressed gratitude for Afod’s visit, which he said rekindled his hope. The filmmaker reportedly offered him financial assistance and urged well-meaning Nigerians, colleagues, and fans in the entertainment industry to come together in support of the ailing artiste.
