Na Dem Dey Rush US: Tinubu’s Inroad In The North Sends Distress Signal To Detractors

When an ungrateful person comes to the end of a journey they speak derogatorily about the boat that landed them safely (do not speak evil of those that help you).-African Proverb.

This ancient Uganda proverb teaches us the values of generosity and the need to be grateful to your benefactor.

The past few months have seen a massive concerted effort by anti- Tinubu forces to drag and slander the APC national leader down the dirty mud of politics and thereafter bring him to public ridicule all because they hate his guts.

So intensive are the attacks that one watching from the sidelines would think Tinubu is finished politically and even cremated.

The irony of the whole drama is that these same traducers were once beneficiaries of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s legacies and sacrifices.

So harsh is their aggression that Tinubu’s integrity is under attack by these bullies who claim to be democrats and want the best for Nigeria. Tinubu today is labelled as an anti masses leader who is autocratic in his approach to governance.

They tend to capitalise on” some of the shortcomings “of the present Government and heap the blames on Tinubu as if the former Lagos State governor controls the economy of the country or maybe he was appointed as the chief economic adviser of Nigeria.

Having the same characteristics as the wicked souls these naysayers have never one day given credit to Tinubu for some of the major milestone achievements of the present government. They are blind to the areas of positive development that the Buhari’s administration has ushered in.

They say Tinubu has strangled Lagos yet they refuse to give Tinubu the credit that Lagos State is one of the fastest-growing MEGA cities in the world.

They don’t see that Lagos remains the only working and self-sustaining state in Nigeria.

Let us quote Wikipedia since it is a reference point to even the haters.

“Lagos State is arguably the most economically important state of the country, containing Lagos, the nation’s largest urban area. It is a major financial centre and would be the fifth-largest economy in Africa if it were a country.”

The last line is a sucker punch, ” It is a major financial centre and would be the fifth-largest economy in Africa if it were a country.”

These same people when arguing in their private and public quarters would beat their chest and say Lagos is a pacesetter in Africa.

They would say Lagos has the best clubs, the best business services, the best schools, the best recreational facilities, the finest hotels, the finest wheels, the most beautiful women and all the nice talks.

They have forgotten that Tinubu was a progenitor to the first-class services Lagos offers them. Let us go a bit practical now so we can compare and contrast Lagos with their own dream State in Nigeria if at all there is any.

I simply did an ariel view of Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, Mainland and some other “communities” all in Lagos.

Then I did an ariel view of Uyo, Benin City, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Kaduna and the rest. The images that came out from my search from the aforementioned states were like GLORIFIED VILLAGES COMPARED to the images from Lagos.

Yet they say Tinubu is the problem of Lagos, how evil can people be? The heart of man is desperately deceitful and these are the kind of people the Bible refers to.

Tinubu’s part in the democracy we enjoy today can not be swept under the carpet, as a loyal ally to the Late MKO Abiola, Tinubu contributed immensely to the struggle to the point of selling his properties to help fund NADECO and NALICON. They fought gallantly against the ‘Dictatorial” rule of General Sani Abacha.

His house was bombed and he ran into exile, all for the struggle. You see there is a Nigerian proverb that says Pikin wey the mama carry for her back go tell you say journey no far if you ask am how far? The truth b say na pikin wey dey ungrateful na go say journey no far , because pikin wey see how the mama sweat for him sake go always appreciate beta thing.

You see kindness is a language that the blind can see and the deaf can hear, Tinubu’s generosity transcends the South-West.

Anyway, Tinubu is presently sending shock waves across the country with his inroads in the North, like the local man would say “NA DEM DEY RUSH US”

The last two weeks have practically witnessed the Jagaban all over in the North making good acquaintance with the Arewa’s. He was in Katsina the President’s own State to commiserate with victims of the Katsina market fire where he donated 50 Million Naira to help cushion the losses suffered by the victims.

From there Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was to chair the 11th Arewa House lecture held in Kaduna. As Kaduna dey wind down na be Kano for follow up, Tinubu was hosted by the Kano State Government as part of activities involving his 69th birthday celebrations. It was GRAND.

Now to make their nightmares last longer Tinubu has just been invited to chair the book presentation of Aisha Buhari, the wife to the president haters say does not want Tinubu to succeed him, mind you Buhari opened the celebrations in Kano with his virtual representation.

No doubt Tinubu was given presidential treatment in all these States. Definitely, Tinubu’s inroad in the North is not going down well with his detractors, the alliance of Lagos and Kano alone is a disaster to political enemies not to talk of having strong grassroots support across the 19 northern states.

The worse aspect is that these political juveniles are erroneously playing Tinubu to the hearts of the northerners by spreading all sorts of gist as regards his alliance with the North.

Their so-called hate speech that Tinubu is a Fulani SLAVE may just be the right harmony that might make the north accept Tinubu. Imagine this, only these same people will say Tinubu is a FULANI SLAVE and only dem go still talk say the FULANI go betray am. Is it their betrayal???

Electoral statistics shows that the South-East which is mostly the orchestrators of this hate speech don’t vote in NUMBERS. Their votes have never decided any presidential election in reality.

If the FULANI’s decide to vote their slave tell me how can they now defeat him at the general polls? Kano’s vote equals about 4 states in some cases.

So many political pundits out there but little with political knowledge.Weda dem like am or not ….na DEM dey rush us.
