New Plant Unlocks Jobs And Boosts Local Growth
Ultimum Limited, a leading player in Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods beverage sector and makers of Razzl carbonated soft drinks, is set to inaugurate its cutting-edge production facility in Aba, Abia State. According to industry reports, the commissioning of the plant marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy and underscores its dedication to strengthening local manufacturing, creating shared value, and delivering high-quality beverages to consumers.
Strategically located in the Osisioma industrial cluster, the facility is designed to meet growing demand across the Southeast, South-South, and other regions. Equipped with modern technology, the plant guarantees operational efficiency, product consistency, and compliance with international quality standards.
Serving as the main production hub for Razzl, the plant will produce the beverage in four distinctive flavors: Pamplemousse, Cola, Orange, and Lemon. By bringing production closer to consumers, Ultimum Limited aims to enhance product accessibility and redefine the beverage experience for millions across Nigeria.
Beyond its role in beverage production, the Aba plant is expected to drive significant economic growth. It will create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs across technical, administrative, and distribution roles, while opening opportunities for local suppliers, logistics providers, and ancillary businesses throughout the value chain. Local production of Razzl is also projected to strengthen Nigeria’s trade supply chain, benefiting distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in its target markets.
The investment aligns with government industrialization initiatives and reinforces Aba’s resurgence as a key manufacturing hub, supporting improved infrastructure and social services for residents. Speaking ahead of the inauguration, Managing Director of Ultimum Limited, Mr. Austin Ufomba, emphasized the company’s confidence in Nigeria’s future. He stated, “Nigerians are among the most hardworking and resilient people globally, and they deserve high-quality beverages that refresh, energize, and support their daily aspirations. Our mission at Ultimum Limited is to consistently deliver world-class beverages while meeting the highest standards of quality, safety, and taste.”
Mr. Ufomba further added, “This plant is not merely a factory; it represents the capacity to deliver refreshment at scale, empower communities, and set new benchmarks for manufacturing excellence. As a Nigerian company with African roots, we are uniquely positioned to produce beverages that reflect the tastes and desires of our consumers.”
The Ultimum Limited plant is expected to be officially commissioned by the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, alongside senior federal and state officials and industry leaders, further cementing Aba’s status as a hub of industrial innovation and manufacturing excellence.
