Yusuf noted that while individual opposition figures may possess credibility, their inability to collaborate effectively as a cohesive force diminishes their chances of unseating the incumbent government. He maintained that the APC remains confident heading into the next electoral cycle due to what he described as a lack of serious challenge from rival political blocs.

The APC stalwart further stated that the ruling party is not unsettled by opposition activities, attributing this to persistent divisions among opposition leaders. He also warned of potential internal crises within the APC, particularly in relation to candidate selection processes. Yusuf cautioned that any attempt to impose candidates or bypass transparent and fair primaries could lead to internal discord and defections, ultimately weakening the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
