Nigeria Is Blessed – Peter Obi Hails Osimhen’s Heroics In Galatasaray Title Triumph
According to Ireporter Online, former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has congratulated Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen following his standout performance that inspired Galatasaray to clinch the Turkish Süper Lig title.
Osimhen was instrumental in the decisive fixture, scoring twice as the Turkish champions sealed the league crown, further cementing his status as one of Nigeria’s most influential football exports on the global stage.
Reacting via his official handle, Obi commended the striker’s discipline, resilience and consistency, noting that his achievements continue to bring pride and honour to Nigeria. He described Osimhen’s success as a reflection of the depth of talent the country possesses, urging young Nigerians to draw inspiration from his journey and remain committed to excellence.
The former Anambra State governor also used the opportunity to advocate for stronger investment in Nigeria’s sports sector, stressing that sports remain a powerful tool for job creation, national unity and youth development. He expressed concern over what he described as the underutilisation of the sector despite its potential to transform lives.
Obi further stated that Nigeria is richly endowed with talents capable of reaching global heights like Osimhen if given the right support system, leadership and enabling environment. He reiterated his belief in a “new Nigeria” where all sectors develop in balance to ensure national growth.
He concluded by congratulating Osimhen once again, describing him as a proud ambassador of Nigeria whose achievements continue to inspire millions both at home and in the diaspora.
