Nigerians Panic As Military-Taskforce In Plateau State Declares Eleven Individuals-Wanted (Full Details)
Jos, Plateau State – The peacekeeping Military Taskforce in Plateau State, Operation Safe Haven, has declared eleven individuals wanted. This announcement was made by the Deputy Commander of Operation Safe Haven, Tezungwe Iyua, during a press conference held in Jos on Friday.
The wanted individuals, all males, have been identified as Muhammadu MP, Muhammed MOPOL, Rabiu Ibrahim, Buba Sobe, Senfos Gaine, Nahaska Boderi, Dudi Mohammadu, Habu Mohammadu, Ja’afaru Matakala, Hassan Waje, and Sanusi Dafor. These suspects are sought for their involvement in numerous attacks that have resulted in multiple deaths and significant property destruction across the state.
“Operation Safe Haven has continued to take proactive steps towards securing lives and property in the Joint Operations Area. These efforts have been occasionally derailed by activities of enemies of peace,” stated Iyua. He highlighted specific incidents, including the attacks on Barkin Ladi and Bokkos Local Government Areas on Christmas Eve of 2023, as well as subsequent attacks in parts of Bokkos and Mangu Local Government Areas in April and May of 2024.
“In line with the mandate of Operation Safe Haven, we have not rested on our oars in the efforts to bring the perpetrators of these heinous crimes to face justice. We have sustained intelligence-led operations, which led to the neutralization of contact with some of the perpetrators as well as the arrest of most of the criminals who participated in the attacks,” Iyua added.
For those still at large, Iyua explained that technology and forensic examinations have been utilized to identify them. Consequently, the eleven individuals are wanted for questioning regarding their complicity in attacks across different locations in Plateau State.
The Deputy Commander called on the public to provide information about the whereabouts of the wanted suspects to Operation Safe Haven, the Nigerian Police Force, or the Department of State Services, promising a reward for useful tips leading to arrests. He emphasized the determination of security agencies to ensure justice for the perpetrators of violence and urged public cooperation in providing credible information to help protect law-abiding citizens in Plateau State.
