of the Year 2024, while Paris FC goalkeeper Nnadozie claimed the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the second consecutive time.

In his congratulatory message, Obi expressed pride in their accomplishments, noting that the duo brought honor to Nigeria. He also congratulated the Super Falcons for being named CAF’s Women’s National Team of the Year 2024.

“Nigeria once again shone brightly on the continental stage as our own Ademola Lookman was crowned African Footballer of the Year, and Chiamaka Nnadozie was named Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year at the CAF Awards. The Super Falcons also secured the Women’s National Team of the Year title,” Obi stated.

He commended their hard work and excellence, which have not only earned them individual recognition but also showcased Nigeria’s footballing talent. Obi also highlighted the importance of investing in sports as a tool for job creation, especially for the country’s youth.

“Sports has long been a unifying force for Nigeria and has proven to be a vital source of employment for our talented youth. Victories like this demonstrate what we can achieve as a nation if we focus on nurturing sports. For a youthful country like ours, sports should be given the attention it truly deserves,” Obi added.
