Afrobeats star Davido has reacted to an old video of former Anambra State governor and NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi discussing his wealth and business background.

According to Ireporter Online, the video resurfaced after journalist Rufai Oseni shared it on X while challenging Nigerian politicians to publicly explain how they accumulated their wealth.

In the video, Obi displayed what he identified as an American Express Platinum Card, claiming it was among the cards introduced in 1987 for a select group of 5,000 people.

The former governor also showed what he described as a Black Card, officially known as the Centurion Card, which he said was introduced in 1999 and made available to only 1,000 people worldwide.

Obi used the demonstration to discuss his financial background and business career before he entered politics.

He said he had established a viable business before venturing into public service and acknowledged that his involvement in politics had affected his personal wealth.

According to Obi, although he did not regret entering politics, the decision had made him poorer.

Sharing the video, Oseni questioned whether other Nigerian politicians could similarly provide details about how they made their money.

“Can every Nigerian politician tell us how they made their money like this?” the journalist asked.

Davido subsequently quoted the post and reacted with a brief comment that appeared to challenge other politicians to make similar disclosures.

“None of them can try it 😂😂,” the singer wrote.

The reaction has since drawn attention to Obi’s comments about his business history and wealth, as well as the broader debate over transparency and accountability among Nigerian political figures.
