Ogbeide-Ihama Mourns The Passing Away Of Ambassador Osayomore Joseph

I received with a heavy heart the news of the passing unto Glory of one Edo’s most accomplished musical exports and promoter of the Benin culture, Ambassador Osayomore Joseph.

A music composer, versatile instrumentalist, social critic, cultural Ambassador, and rights advocate, the impact and legacy of Osayomore Joseph will remain a reference point for ages on what hardwork and deciation to craft can deliver.

We are consoled by the consciousness that his evergreen sounds will continue to fill us with nostalgia, and inspire a new generation of Edo musicians.

I am grateful for the opportunity I had to share a relationship with this enigma and pride of the Benin Kingdom. He followed keenly National issues and never hesitated to reach out to me whenever we saw to exchange thoughts on diverse subject.

I and my family, on behalf of all Oredo Constituents and by extension Edo South, express our most sincere sympathies to his family, associates and fans. It is my prayer that the Lord grants them his grace and strength to pass through this difficult times following his transition.

May his soul continue to enjoy Rest in the bossom of his Creator.
