Okpebholo Campaign Done Catch Fire, Opponents Don Run For Cover By Kassim Afegbua.  I witnessed the three campaigns of the APC in the three Senatorial Districts, and I came to the unassailable conclusion that; NOBODY CAN STOP AN IDEA WHOSE TIME HAS COME. The popularity of Senator Okpebholo has become legendary. While the outgoing Governor is ashamed to publicly campaign for his annointed godson, with their leprous fingers of same hand,

Okpebholo’s acceptance has become a source of worry for the fractured PDP and their beleaguered leadership. From Edo South to Edo Central, to Edo North, it has been a week of harvest of electorates who are sworn to the irrevocable commitment to chase ObASUEki out of Edo state. In one year alone, Edo State Government got N271b from allocations, 13%derivation and internal revenue, but in that one year, Edo State has been borrowing money. Imagine ObASUEki signing a supplementary budget of N450b barely two months to his exit. Last minute “whacking” and desperation to buy votes with N25k per voter. He tried it in Agenebode last week, but got the shock of his life when the people collected the money and told him pointedly that they won’t vote for his candidate, Asue Ighodalo. He was in the home of Chief Alaba Oshioguemo.

JUST IN: Adamu, Ngige Told To Resign

What God cannot do, does not exist. This is an apt description of Okpebholo’s rise to political stardom, creating waves across board and making Edo electorates bubbling with happiness that at last, a political messiah has come. Okpebholo’s anointing is remarkable and unstoppable. From Pastors and men of God endorsement, to that of Edo Farmers Association, to youths groups, National Association of Nigerian Students’ and different professional groups, it has been one endorsement after the other. The turnout to receive Okpebholo’s message of peace and agenda has been an essential outpouring of raw and undiluted love from the electorates. Simple and calm, easy going with a heart of gold, Senator Okpebholo has since become the candidate to beat in this election.

Okpebholo: Death Of My Police Aide Will Not Go Unpunished

At first, they said he was deaf and dumb. At another time, they said he was mute. Now he has started selling his five-point agenda, they now accuse him of using a remote controlled device to deliver his message. Hahahahahaha. They simply can’t understand why and how his popularity is spreading like wildfire despite all the pull-him-down syndrome from orchestrated skits, tiktok and social media comments. The candidate remains unshaken, undaunted and collected, bracing all landmines, and coasting home to victory. He donated luxury buses for free transportation, they said oh, he diverted Federal Government vehicles for that purpose. They thought everybody behaves like their ungodly godfathers who are experts in diverting rice and other palliatives. In one fell swoop, they diverted 20 trucks of rice donated by the Federal Government until they were exposed. They also diverted Dangote Rice of 30,000 bags and tried to re-bag them until they were caught. I haven’t seen this category of Rice Executhieves before.

The date of the election is near, and you can feel the pain of their impending defeat. They have spoken Queens English, now it is pidgin English they resorted to. Okpebholo spoke to his Esan brothers and sisters in Esan language without bating an eyelid. Asue is said to be taking lectures in Esan language trying to catch easy phonemes of such an alluring language. He told someone recently that politics is tough oo. It will be tougher when facing a man and a candidate that is enjoying God’s anointing and uncommon grace. That is the Okpebholo’s midas touch. September 21st beckons.
