One Dead After Building Collapse In Osun

Tragedy struck in Ifetedo community in Ife South local government area of Osun State after a dilapidated building collapsed and killed a woman.

It was gathered that the incident occurred around 5:30pm when the deceased was around the building.

A statement by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kehinde Adeleke on Thursday confirmed that one Mrs Idowu was killed when the building collapsed.

She said: “Officers and men of NSCDC Ife South division upon getting the information rushed to the site of the incident for rescue operation but unfortunately, the woman passed on.

“The site has since been cordoned off; and the body of the woman was recovered.“
