Aregbesola launched the Omoluabi Caucus of the Osun APC last year, emphasizing that it was not a faction but a group of founding members.

In a recent development, an assistant secretary of the Osun APC, Waheed Adeniran, filed an affidavit supporting Originating Summons, urging the court to declare Aregbesola’s formation of the Omoluabi Caucus an act of anti-party.

The suit, marked FHC/OS/CS/1/2024, lists the Independent National Electoral Commission and others as defendants.

The Osun APC seeks an injunction against Aregbesola’s involvement in any congress or convention and N5 million in damages.
