PDP Commences Presidential, Gubernatorial And National Assembly Screening Exercises (Photos)

According to Ireporter Online, the exercise, which began on Tuesday, covers aspirants vying for legislative, governorship and presidential positions across the country.

The party confirmed that screening of senatorial, House of Representatives and state assembly aspirants is currently ongoing at designated centres nationwide, while presidential and governorship hopefuls are being screened at the national level in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

In an official statement, the PDP said the process marks the formal start of its internal preparations for the 2027 elections, noting that the exercise is being conducted simultaneously across different levels of elective offices.

It was further disclosed that thousands of aspirants are participating in the screening process, following the approval of the party’s timetable and schedule of activities by the National Executive Committee. The party also confirmed the constitution of screening committees and appeal panels to oversee the exercise and handle related disputes.
