“PDP Exodus A Mistake? Bala Mohammed Says ‘Reality Will Hit Them Soon’”
Bala Mohammed: PDP Is the True Platform for Nigerians to Realise Their Aspirations — ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has reaffirmed his party’s commitment to providing a credible platform for Nigerians, declaring that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains the most viable option for true national progress — ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE.
Speaking at the 101st National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday, Mohammed assured party stakeholders that the PDP would give the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) “a credible run for its life” in the next general elections.
He stressed that the opposition party is not only more grounded but also strategically positioned to lead any future coalition or alliance.
He cautioned PDP members against insulting those who have defected from the party, stating that such individuals would soon realise their misjudgment. “We sympathise with those who became impatient and left,” he said, “but certainly, they will understand their fault.”
He added that the party remains open to welcoming them back — within a reasonable timeframe.
ACCORDING TO IREPORTER ONLINE, Governor Mohammed praised the efforts being made by party organs such as the National Working Committee (NWC), the Board of Trustees (BoT), and National Assembly caucuses, stressing that the PDP is quietly solidifying its base while keeping the larger goal in sight.
He also addressed the issue of indiscipline within the party, insisting that it would no longer be tolerated. “Indiscipline is what brought us all these problems and setbacks,” he warned, highlighting the sacrifices already made by party leaders for the sake of unity and credibility.
“We must bury our personal ambitions — whether as governors or presidential hopefuls — to create a level playing field that INEC and Nigerians can trust,” he concluded.
IREPORTER ONLINE further reports, the PDP’s recent internal efforts and leadership realignments are being hailed by party veterans and supporters as a fresh beginning ahead of 2027.
