PDP Moves To Remove Organising Secretary Over Incompetence, Arrogance

Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Working Committee have begun moves to relieve the party’s National Organising Secretary, Hon. Umar Bature, of his duties as Director of Field Operations for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council.

According to reliable sources, the move is the result of Bature’s arrogance and failure to include his colleagues and other critical and more experienced stakeholders in his operations.

According to them, this has resulted in some embarrassing lapses in the planning of some presidential campaign rallies in many states.

According to two NWC members, despite his incompetence, Bature has remained dismissive and bullish to party executives who have offered to work with him, particularly in planning campaign rallies in their states or zones.

One party official told our reporter that Bature’s demeanor in office is a far cry from that of his immediate predecessor, who, despite having a military background, was more civil and respected all party organs.

According to the source, the NOS’s double standard and divisive demeanor are to blame for many of the problems the party is attempting to resolve in state chapters such as Ogun.

Bature was unavailable for comment on the allegations.
