In other political developments, Kano’s 16th Emir, Lamido Muhammad Sanusi II, urged peace following the Court of Appeal’s judgment regarding the emirate dispute. The court ruled that the Federal High Court lacked jurisdiction over the case, with proceedings now set to be handled by the Kano State High Court.
