PSC Launches Screening For Recruitment Of 50,000 Police Constables

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the schedule for the physical and credential screening of candidates in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 police constables across Nigeria. According to the PSC, the exercise will hold from March 9 to April 18, 2026, at designated locations in all states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Candidates who completed the online registration are advised to log in to the recruitment portal at to verify their eligibility and access their Invitation Slips. Applicants are required to print and present several documents at the screening venue, including the Guarantors Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credentials Screening Form, and Physical Screening Form.

The PSC further instructed that candidates bring their original and duplicate credentials, including National Identity Number (NIN) cards, O’Level certificates, birth or age declaration certificates, LGA/State of Origin certificates, and, where applicable, trade test certificates for specialist positions. All documents should be neatly packaged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.

Applicants are expected to wear white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings for the screening exercise.

PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, emphasized that the recruitment is entirely free of charge and conducted with full transparency. He cautioned candidates to be vigilant against online fraudsters and scammers, warning that anyone attempting to exploit the process will face arrest and prosecution.
