Saka sustained a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace and is projected to be unavailable for an extended period.

The England forward was forced off the pitch less than 25 minutes into the match and was seen leaving the stadium on crutches after receiving treatment for his injury.

While he is expected to be out for around two months, sources indicate that had he torn his hamstring completely, he would have faced surgery and a six-month recovery.

Arsenal will breathe a sigh of relief that surgery isn’t necessary, but they will still be missing one of their key players during a critical stretch of the season.

With the 23-year-old out at least until February, Sportwitness reports that Mikel Arteta is exploring the possibility of signing Chukwueze, who was recently linked with a move to Aston Villa.

The report mentions that Aston Villa had shown interest in AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze, but now Arsenal may also be a viable destination for the winger.

MilanLive notes that Arsenal could be the most appealing option for the 25-year-old, as the Gunners seek an attacker to fill the void left by Saka’s injury. Chukwueze could serve as a potential right-wing solution.
