See What Davido Did To Logistics Manager, Israel DMW Over Apology On ‘Jaye Lo’ Video

Shortly after his logistics manager, Isreal ‘DMW’ Afeare, issued an apology to the Muslim community on his behalf, Davido unfollowed Isreal on Instagram.

The controversial music video of Davido’s newly signed artiste, Logos Olori, had sparked widespread criticism. In the video for the song titled ‘Jaye Lo,’ some men dressed in white Jalabiya were seen dancing in front of a mosque, leading to outrage from some Muslims.

Although Davido removed the video on Monday, demands for a public apology from the singer persisted. Some youths in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, expressed their displeasure by setting a large banner of Davido on fire.

Additionally, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) called for the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate Davido.

In response to the backlash, Isreal took to social media on Tuesday to apologize to the Muslim community.

He explained that the video was intended for entertainment purposes, but they presented it inappropriately and expressed regret, saying, “Let me specially apologise to my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hobbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”

Despite the widespread backlash, Davido has remained silent on the matter, but it was observed that he unfollowed his aide Isreal on Instagram. However, Isreal is still following Davido on the social media platform.
