The news churning out from Benin City is very worrisome and pathetic, this young lady pictured above is alleged to have killed the mother of former Edo State Governor Chief Lucky Igbinedion.

According to multiple reports making the rounds, the young lady not only strangled her she also inflicted deep multiple injuries on her before carting away an undisclosed amount of money and her jewellery alongside other valuables.

She is presently on the run. Efforts are being made to track and apprehend the killer thief who is reportedly from Cross River State.

Maria was married to Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom as his first wife. She is survived by the former governor, Lucky Igbinedion, Bright Igbinedion, Charles Igbinedion and Mabel Amadi nee Igbinedion as well as numerous grandchildren.
