Sophia’s Custody Battle: Dele Momodu Reveals Court-Rule On Davido (View-Details)
Dele Momodu, the renowned Nigerian journalist and uncle to Sophia Momodu, has unveiled the latest developments in the ongoing custody dispute between singer Davido and his former partner.
In a social media update posted on Saturday, Momodu disclosed that the court has opted for an alternative approach to resolving the matter, referring it to the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) for potential settlement.
Expressing his perspective on the contentious issue, Dele urged both Davido and Sophia to prioritize their daughter’s welfare over public statements. He emphasized the need for a structured and private resolution, highlighting the potential harm caused by airing grievances on social media.
“The court’s decision to initiate ADR during Settlement Week underscores the importance of constructive dialogue,” Momodu stated. “I strongly advise David and Sophia to engage sincerely with this process, focusing on what is best for their child. It is crucial to move away from public confrontations and towards a secure and sustainable co-parenting arrangement.”
Acknowledging Sophia’s role in the legal proceedings, Momodu clarified her intentions as protective and child-focused. He stressed the detrimental impact of media sensationalism on the family’s well-being, particularly the child’s.
“The inflammatory rhetoric in media reports must be avoided at all costs,” he remarked. “Such actions only exacerbate an already challenging situation for everyone involved, especially the innocent child.”
Dele Momodu’s call for discretion and compassion in this high-profile case reflects his longstanding commitment to fostering amicable resolutions in familial disputes.
