Hungarian side Debreceni VSC have officially secured the services of Nigerian striker Stephen Odey on a free transfer. The 28-year-old forward joined the club after his contract with Danish outfit Randers FC expired in December. Odey spent four and a half years in Denmark, initially on loan in 2021 before making the move permanent.

During his time at Randers, Odey scored 28 goals in 129 appearances. He has previously played for FC Zürich, KRC Genk, and Amiens SC, amassing a total of 83 goals across his professional career. Debreceni VSC, seven-time champions of Hungary, hope Odey will bolster their attacking options as they aim for success in the upcoming season, according to Ireporter Online.

Meanwhile, in England, Samuel Chukwueze is poised to return for Fulham FC in their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. The winger missed Fulham’s 3-1 victory over Sunderland last week due to a minor calf injury but has been training with the squad ahead of the match.

Head coach Marco Silva provided an update on his squad, saying, “Saša (Lukić), (Samuel) Chukwueze and the others have been in and out of contention, but they’ve had a good week. (Antonee) Robinson is back in sessions with the team. We have another session, and we’re going to make a decision after that.”

Chukwueze, on loan from AC Milan since the start of the season, has contributed three goals and four assists in 13 Premier League appearances, demonstrating his influence in Fulham’s campaign.
