Struggling Is For Singles, Not Married Women’ – Lady Slams Married Women Begging Online
A Nigerian woman has sparked widespread debate online after sharing her opinion on married women seeking financial assistance from single women. According to Ireporter Online, the woman expressed frustration over the volume of messages she receives from married or attached women requesting money.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @dammiedammie35, she stated that financial struggle should be exclusive to single women. She argued that married women or women in relationships should not ask single women for help, saying, “Struggling is meant for single women only. If you are married, engaged, or have a partner, that word should not exist in your vocabulary.”
She highlighted that many of the requests she receives come from women who claim to be married or in committed relationships, often citing hardship for themselves and their families. She questioned why these women would turn to single women for support while simultaneously pressuring singles to settle down.
The woman maintained that single women already manage their own responsibilities and should not bear the financial burdens of those with partners. She added, “Are you not ashamed of yourself? You are coming to beg single women, and you are the same people that will go online and say, ‘Go and find a husband.’”
Her remarks have elicited mixed reactions across social media. Some users defended her perspective, asserting that individuals in relationships should not rely on singles for financial aid, while others argued that her comments were insensitive, noting that financial hardship can affect anyone regardless of marital status.
