According to Ireporter Online, the immediate past Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Taiwo Fasoranti, has stated that President Bola Tinubu assumed office at a critical moment in Nigeria’s history, noting that his administration has begun recording noticeable progress across key sectors despite prevailing national challenges.

Fasoranti, who made the remarks on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, said the benefits of democracy were becoming increasingly visible, adding that although Nigeria was not yet where it ought to be, ongoing reforms were steering the country in the right direction.

He highlighted improvements in the economy, particularly pointing to recent movements in the foreign exchange market, which he described as an indication of gradual economic stabilisation.

On security, he said the federal government was taking deliberate steps to address the situation, stressing that insecurity remains a global concern and not unique to Nigeria.

Fasoranti also expressed strong confidence in the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stating that it was already beginning to produce positive outcomes. He urged continued public support for government policies aimed at strengthening democratic governance, insisting that no segment of the country had been left behind under the current leadership.

Looking ahead to 2027, the former SSG declared his confidence in President Tinubu’s re-election chances, saying he believes the president has performed sufficiently well to secure another term in office. He further stated that he is fully convinced of Tinubu’s victory if he contests again.

Fasoranti also confirmed his intention to contest the Ondo Central Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections, saying his ambition is driven by the need to provide quality representation and improved leadership for his constituency.

He commended the Ondo State government under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, stating that the state is on a steady developmental path and requires stronger federal collaboration to attract more projects and benefits.
