Tinubu Has Done What Northern Leaders Ignored for 47 Years — Inuwa Yahaya
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing Northern Nigeria’s development, particularly through his bold investments in the livestock sector.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of a 184-hectare Agro-Livestock Industrial Zone in Gombe, Governor Yahaya described Tinubu as the first Nigerian leader in nearly 50 years to dedicate substantial funding — ₦120 billion — to the livestock value chain, a sector vital to the North’s economy.
According to Yahaya, the President has already disbursed 50% of the approved funds, signaling strong commitment to food security, job creation, and economic growth. He praised Tinubu’s administration for its impactful agricultural initiatives that are beginning to transform communities nationwide.
“If not for a leader who loves his people and has the willpower to act, this change would not be possible,” Yahaya stated.
He further pledged unwavering support from the people of Gombe ahead of the 2027 general elections, confidently declaring that “Gombe will follow him [Tinubu] to the battlefield blindfolded.”
Urging Nigerians to be patient, Yahaya acknowledged that some of the reforms may be tough in the short term, but assured citizens that the benefits under Tinubu’s leadership will be evident in the long run.
