Tinubu Holds Private Talks With Rwandan President Kagame In Paris
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a private meeting with Rwandan President Paul Kagame in Paris on Sunday, where both leaders exchanged views on global developments and the future of Africa.
According to Ireporter Online, the closed-door engagement took place during a private lunch in the French capital and was later made public by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. The discussions reportedly focused on international affairs, Africa’s role within the changing global landscape, and shared perspectives on issues critical to the continent’s growth and stability.
The meeting reflects President Tinubu’s sustained diplomatic outreach aimed at strengthening ties with fellow African leaders and advancing cooperation that promotes unity and collective progress across the continent.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has issued firm directives to Nigeria’s security leadership to ensure the immediate arrest of those responsible for the deadly attack on the Kasuwan Daji community in Niger State. He ordered the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services to track down the perpetrators and secure the release of all abducted victims.
The President gave the directive in response to the killing of villagers and the abduction of women and children by terrorists believed to be fleeing from Sokoto and Zamfara states following a United States airstrike carried out on Christmas Eve. He strongly condemned the assault, describing it as a direct challenge to national security.
President Tinubu expressed deep sympathy to the families of those affected, as well as to the government and people of Niger State, assuring them of the federal government’s resolve to restore peace. He stressed that those behind the attack, including anyone who supports or enables such acts, would face the full weight of the law, regardless of their identity or motive.
