President Bola Tinubu has been honored with the prestigious title of “Otuekong” by the Akwa Ibom State Council of Traditional Rulers. Among the dignitaries present were Senate President Godswill Akpabio, his wife Ekaette Akpabio, religious leaders, former ministers, lawmakers, and representatives from various groups.

Expressing his gratitude, Tinubu reflected on his past connection to Akwa Ibom, recalling his time in Eket as an auditor at Mobil. He emphasized the need for national development beyond political affiliations and reassured Nigerians that economic stability is improving following the signing of the 2025 budget.

Tinubu also commended Governor Eno’s leadership and acknowledged the state’s concerns regarding the Ibom Deep Sea Port and ecological challenges. In response, Senate President Akpabio assured Tinubu of Akwa Ibom’s unwavering support, praising Governor Eno’s efforts in fostering unity and progress.

Governor Eno, in his remarks, reiterated his commitment to working with the federal government on major development projects and expressed gratitude to Tinubu and First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu for their support during his personal loss.
