Tinubu Instructs Support Group To Provide Rice Across The Country For Ramadan And Lent
According to Ireporter Online, Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a political support group aligned with President Bola Tinubu, has been instructed to distribute rice nationwide in support of Nigerians observing Ramadan and Lent.
The directive was announced on Saturday by the group’s Director-General, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma. The initiative aims to foster national unity and provide relief to citizens during a period of spiritual reflection for both Muslims and Christians.
Governor Uzodinma said the programme reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to compassion and solidarity during religious observances. “Ramadan and Lent are seasons that remind us of sacrifice, charity, and care for one another,” he stated.
The distribution will be executed through the group’s extensive grassroots network to ensure that families across the country benefit. “Through this initiative, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors will ensure that families across Nigeria feel the spirit of togetherness during this sacred period,” Uzodinma added.
The programme follows a similar rice distribution scheme conducted during the Christmas period and underscores the administration’s dedication to supporting citizens during key religious and cultural celebrations. The initiative will reach both Muslim and Christian communities, emphasizing inclusivity and national unity.
