The meeting, held inside the Council Chambers, brought together Nigeria’s top policy drivers — including Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, NSA Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Staff Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Head of Civil Service, Dr. Didi Walson-Jack.

Among the cabinet members present was the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, who continues to play a strategic role in bridging Nigeria’s regional inequalities and delivering infrastructure-backed solutions in line with the President’s national vision.

For Engr. Momoh, it was an opportunity to reaffirm his ministry’s strategic alignment with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, as regional development continues to play a critical role in national cohesion and sustainable growth.

Prior to the commencement of deliberations, President Tinubu administered the oath of office to Hon. Nnanna Uzor Kalu, who joins the National Assembly Service Commission. The Council also observed a minute silence in honour of Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade (rtd), former Minister of Police Affairs and pioneer Military Administrator of Bayelsa State, who passed away at age 70.

With key figures such as Wale Edun, Atiku Bagudu, and Mohammed Idris in attendance, the FEC meeting reflected a government unified in purpose — driven by service, stability, and impact.

Engr. Abubakar Momoh’s presence underscores the pivotal role of regional development in bridging infrastructural gaps, promoting equity, and delivering the dividends of democracy to every corner of the nation.
