Tinubu Scores Big: 10 Countries Approve Nigeria’s New Ambassadors

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided an update on the ongoing diplomatic process to secure formal acceptance, known as agréments, for Nigeria’s newly appointed ambassadors-designate.

According to Ireporter Online, the process is advancing steadily, with approvals already secured from ten countries. These include United Kingdom, France, United States of America, Ireland, Qatar, Republic of Benin, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Senegal, and Sierra Leone.

The ministry noted that responses from other countries are still being awaited as the diplomatic engagements continue.

The development was confirmed in a statement issued on Monday by the ministry’s spokesperson, Kimibie Ebienfa, who added that arrangements for the induction ceremony of the ambassadors-designate are ongoing.

He further explained that the official date for the ceremony will be announced once it has been finalised and approved by the Presidency.
