Tinubu Vows No Safe Haven For Corrupt Officials, Says They Will Face Punishment

According to Ireporter Online, the President made this known on Tuesday during the commissioning of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Zonal Directorate Office Complex in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, where he was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Tinubu emphasized that his administration remains fully committed to strengthening anti-corruption institutions and supporting agencies tasked with ensuring transparency, accountability, and good governance across both public and private sectors.

He stated that the fight against corruption would continue without compromise, stressing that anyone found guilty of financial misconduct or abuse of office would face the full weight of the law.

Describing the newly inaugurated EFCC facility as more than just an infrastructural project, the President said it represents a renewed investment in institutional capacity, public trust, and national development.

He further noted that the Federal Government is determined to build stronger institutions capable of effectively safeguarding public resources and ensuring they are not mismanaged or diverted.

Tinubu also issued a stern warning that corrupt practices would not be tolerated under his leadership, adding that the government would pursue offenders wherever they may be.

Reiterating his administration’s commitment to the anti-corruption agenda, he assured Nigerians that efforts to promote accountability, discipline, and responsible governance would remain a top priority.

He concluded by stressing that corruption has no future in Nigeria, insisting that anyone engaged in it would be made to face the consequences in accordance with the law.
