Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ Team Hands Fresh Appointments To Ex-PDP Spokesman Olisa Metuh, Others

Former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, alongside several prominent political figures, has been appointed to key leadership roles within President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) initiative.

According to Ireporter Online, the appointments were confirmed in an official statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity of the RHA, Tunde Rahman. The statement noted that the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, who also serves as the Director-General and National Coordinator of the RHA, approved the selection of key officials to oversee various arms of the organisation.

Uzodinma explained that the restructuring and appointments are designed to strengthen the operational capacity of the RHA and position it effectively ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Under the new arrangement, the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has been named Deputy Director-General, while the Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, will serve as Secretary. James Faleke has been appointed Deputy Secretary.

The structure of the RHA spans across the country, comprising six zonal coordinators, 37 state coordinators, and 774 local government coordinators, reflecting its nationwide reach.

Among other notable appointments, Mustapha Abdullahi will lead the Youth Directorate, while Metuh has been assigned to head Organisation and Mobilisation. Rahman retains his position as Director of Media and Publicity, with Sunday Dare overseeing Digital and New Media.

Additional roles include Mele Kyari Geidam handling Finance, Muiz Banire in charge of Monitoring, Compliance and Legal, and Bisoye Coker-Odusote leading Technology and Data.

Further appointments see Abubakar Abubakar heading Support Groups, Ibrahim Garba managing Intelligence, Sani Musa overseeing Special Duties, and Simon Karu directing Planning.

Other key positions were assigned to Halima Zakari (Welfare), Nnamdi Mbaeri (Administration), Bilikisu Muhammed Kaika (Women Affairs), Abike Dabiri-Erewa (Diaspora), and Hadiza Bala Usman (Research and Innovation).
