Tinubu’s Return Will Ignite Unending Growth For Nigeria, Says Presidential Insider
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kehinde Olaosebikan, has expressed strong confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid, asserting that it would usher in a phase of unending growth and transformative development across Nigeria.
Speaking with journalists in Ibadan over the weekend, Olaosebikan predicted that by the conclusion of Tinubu’s constitutionally permitted second term in 2031, the President would hand over to a leader with the governance pedigree of former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola — a move he believes will secure a seamless continuation of national progress.
He likened the prospective transition to Tinubu’s strategic handover in Lagos in 2007, describing it as a masterstroke for continuity and prosperity.
According to IReporter Online, Olaosebikan dismissed the emerging coalition of some northern politicians against Tinubu as “counterproductive, ill-advised, and fundamentally anti-development,” insisting that Tinubu’s continued leadership serves the broader interest of both the North and the entire federation.
He emphasised that sustained national development hinges on stability and strategic succession planning, both of which Tinubu, he said, has mastered.
In a related development, APC stalwart and Osun State gubernatorial aspirant, Mudashiru Hussain, also weighed in, labelling the opposition coalition as a disorganised alliance of political opportunists lacking in ideology, vision, and direction.
According to IReporter Online, Hussain argued that the coalition’s chaotic structure and incoherent messaging are clear signs of desperation and a deep void in credible leadership alternatives.
In a statement made available to reporters, the former National Population Commission (NPC) federal commissioner described the group as a “fragile political theatre” driven by ambition rather than purpose.
According to IReporter Online, he maintained that President Tinubu’s track record of performance leaves no room for any genuine challenge in 2027, insisting that the President remains firmly on course to securing his second mandate.
