NiDCOM Chair praised the CBN Governor for the introduction of the Non-Resident Nigerian Ordinary Account (NRNOA) and the Non-Resident Nigerian Investment Account (NRNIA), which facilitate investments by Nigerians living abroad.

The NRNOA enables diasporic Nigerians to transfer earnings such as salaries, dividends, and rental income into accounts held in convertible foreign currencies.

In addition, the NRNIA offers non-resident Nigerians a range of investment options, including local and foreign currency assets like government bonds, equities, and fixed deposits.

In a statement released by the Commission’s spokesman, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa emphasized this initiative’s significance for enhancing diaspora engagement and bolstering Nigeria’s economy.
