UK Woman Faces Court For Sending Fart Videos To Boyfriend Ex

Evans is believed to be the first person to face legal action for “cyber-farting,” an unusual offense she committed during the Christmas season.

According to Prosecutor Diane Williams, Evans sent the videos to Deborah Prytherech, causing the recipient significant distress and anxiety. The footage reportedly showed Evans “deliberately passing gas while positioning the camera on her bottom.”

Between December 22 and New Year’s Day, Evans sent multiple videos, some of which featured her smiling at the camera while passing wind. Prytherech reported the incident to the police, leading to Evans’ arrest and court appearance in Caernarfon.

Defending Evans, lawyer Harriet Gorst explained that the act was not meant to be malicious but stemmed from a dispute between Evans’ partner and his ex regarding child custody. She stated that Evans had been drinking at the time and did not intend to cause harm.

However, Prosecutor Williams argued that the videos were sent out of malice, noting that Evans appeared to be “smirking throughout” and seemed to find the situation amusing.
