UNGA: Buhari In New York (Photos)
In New York, President Muhammadu Buhari participated at the opening session of the 76th United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
He held several bilateral meetings and attended summits on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Earlier on Monday, President Buhari received briefings from senior government officials ahead of his participation at the UN General Assembly. Buhari also met with Director General of the World Trade Organization, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
The President held bilateral meeting with President of Burundi, Évariste Ndayishimiye, and also met with UN Deputy Secretary General, Amina Mohammed on Tuesday
On Wednesday, President Buhari met with UN Secretary-General’s Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development and Queen of the Netherlands Maxima Zorreguieta.
He also delivered a video message to the hybrid High-Level event tagged “Transformative Actions for Nature and People”.
The President participated at Food Systems Summit on Thursday.
On Friday, President Buhari delivered is Statement to the 76th UN General Assembly and held bilateral meeting with UN Secretary General, António Guterres.
