Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in Abuja on Friday, the IGP emphasized that compliance with Section 68 of the Insurance Act and Section 312 of the 1945 Motor Vehicle (Third Party Insurance) Act is mandatory for all vehicle operators on public roads.

The I-G urged Nigerians to adhere strictly to the law, warning that violators could face imprisonment, fines, or both. He reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the protection of lives and property across the nation.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Insurance, Olusegun Omosehin, congratulated the I-G on his achievements, particularly highlighting the establishment of the Police Insurance Bank Ltd. He also sought the support of the Nigeria Police Force in effectively enforcing the compulsory third-party insurance, which provides significant benefits to all road users.
