According to Ireporter Online, embattled Nigerian pastor, Amos Isah, who is currently facing allegations of raping a 14-year-old girl inside his church in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, has reportedly visited the victim’s family in an apparent bid to seek forgiveness ahead of his ongoing legal battle.

Sources familiar with the matter disclosed that the cleric, who was previously said to have failed to appear in court during an earlier sitting, arrived at the victim’s residence at night, where he pleaded with the family for reconciliation. A video obtained by the publication showed Pastor Isah seated with members of the girl’s family during what was described as a private meeting centered on an appeal for forgiveness.

The development has sparked renewed public attention and outrage within the community, with residents expressing concern over attempts at private settlement in a case widely regarded as serious. Community members are reportedly monitoring the proceedings closely to ensure the judicial process is not undermined by intimidation or external influence.

Pastor Isah was arrested last year following allegations that he sexually assaulted the minor inside the church’s newly constructed auditorium after allegedly luring her under false pretences. Reports further claimed that he threatened the victim and her family to prevent her from speaking out, while also being accused by sources of a pattern of inappropriate conduct involving underage girls. The case is expected to continue as scheduled on May 14, amid heightened public scrutiny.
