VP Chronicles: Trump’s Criteria Revealed For 2024 Elections
As the political landscape gears up for the 2024 elections, former US President Donald Trump has peeled back the curtain on his meticulous process for selecting a running mate….READ MORE
In an exclusive interview with Fox Business Network’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Trump outlined his criteria, reflecting on past personnel mishaps and dropping hints about his potential choices.
“It’s gotta be who is going to be a good president. You always have to think that,” Trump emphasized, adding, “I have a lot of good people. We have a lot of really good people.”
While acknowledging the need for careful consideration, Trump refrained from rushing the decision, asserting, “I have a lot of good ideas, but there’s no reason to do that quickly.” Singling out Senator Tim Scott as “a real tiger” and praising South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem for not entering the race against him, Trump kept his cards close to his chest.
In a candid moment, the former president admitted to personnel mistakes during his first term, but not without a defiant tone. “Of course, but everybody does. Obama had. What about Biden? Look at the people running this Biden thing. The difference is, I fire people,” he declared, pointing to his dismissal of figures like James Comey.
Trump, now seasoned in political intricacies, stated, “I also know people that I didn’t know before. I know now the smart ones. I know the dumb ones. I know the weak ones and the strong ones.” As he hinted at bringing back some old Cabinet members for a hypothetical second term, Trump also addressed concerns about Chinese interference in the 2024 election, predicting that China would meddle against him.
On the topic of winning over “anti-Trumpers,” the former president underlined his focus on domestic policy, stating, “I don’t know if they’re really anti-Trumpers. They want security. They want safety. They want a great economy. They want a strong border.”
In the midst of the political buzz, Trump faces legal challenges with 91 criminal counts against him. Undeterred, he asserted, “It’s all about courage. If I didn’t run or if I was in fifth place, I wouldn’t have any indictments.” With a confident nod to his supporters, Trump concluded, “Anytime I get indicted, it’s an honor, because I’m doing it for you, and the people agree with it.” As the 2024 election draws near, Trump’s revelations promise an intriguing and unpredictable political journey.
