Wakili charged for murder, kidnapping, remanded in prison
An Iyaganku Chief Magistrate Court in Ibadan on Tuesday ordered that notorious Fulani herdsman, Iskilu Wakili be remanded in prison.
The police charged Wakili alongside his sons — Abu, Samaila and Aliyu Manu– on a six-count charge bordering on conspiracy, murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
NAN reports that the Chief Magistrate, Emmanuel Idowu, ordered that they be remanded in Abolongo Correctional facility in Oyo State.
The prosecution counsel, ASP Adewale Amos, told the court that Wakili and his sons on October 20, 2015, allegedly conspired to kill 32-year-old Akinwale Akande.
Amos also alleged that on August 15, 2020, at about 4 pm in Idi–Emi, Oyo State, Wakili and others kidnapped a woman.
According to the police, the suspects armed with cutlasses and axes robbed her of N100, 000.
Idowu ordered the police to return the case file to the Oyo State Directorate of Public Prosecution.
He adjourned the matter until May 17, for mention.
