We Were Together Till 11pm” – Kehinde Adegbodu Speaks On Final Moments With Twin Brother

Gospel singer Kehinde Adegbodu has paid an emotional tribute to his late twin brother and musical partner, Taiwo Adegbodu, while recalling the final moments they shared before his passing.

According to Ireporter Online, Kehinde took to the Adegbodu Twins’ official Facebook page where he shared old photographs of his brother and reflected on the deep pain of losing someone he described as his closest companion and lifelong partner in music.

The singer revealed that both of them had spent time together until around 11 p.m. on the night before Taiwo died, explaining that his brother appeared lively and active before departing unexpectedly. Kehinde noted that several days had already passed since the tragic loss, yet he was still struggling to come to terms with the reality of life without his twin.

He explained that the absence of Taiwo’s voice and presence has created a profound void in his life, describing the late singer as not only a brother but also his best friend and trusted collaborator in their music journey.

In his emotional message, Kehinde reflected on their last moments together and the memories they shared, while expressing disbelief that his brother was gone. He also spoke about how he now understands some of the encouraging words Taiwo used to tell him, promising to honour his legacy and continue the work they started together.

Taiwo Adegbodu reportedly died on March 1 at the age of 46, although the cause of his death has not yet been publicly disclosed.

The late singer was widely known as one half of the Adegbodu Twins, the gospel music group he formed alongside his brother, Kehinde Adegbodu. The duo gained prominence within the Yoruba gospel music community following the release of their debut album Faratimi (Lean on Me) in 1999.

Meanwhile, family members have announced plans to honour the late gospel star with an artistes’ night scheduled for March 30 at Bollads Event Centre located along Akala Express in Ibadan. His burial service is expected to take place the following day, March 31, at his residence.
