“We Will Shut Down South East For A Month” – IPOB Threatens
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has stated that it would totally lockdown the southeast if the Department of State Services, DSS, refuses to bring its leader to court.
The trial of Nnamdi Kanu at the Abuja High Court is expected to continue on October 7th, 2021.
In a statement on Wednesday through its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB stated that it would lock down the whole region from October 21 if Kanu is not produced in court.
“Our peaceful disposition as a people should not be misconstrued as weakness. Nigeria cannot incarcerate our leader illegally and expect things to be normal again. If by October 21, Kanu is not brought to court, Nigeria will know that Kanu commands the unflinching loyalty of over 60 million Biafrans home and in Diaspora.”
