What We Expect From Tinubu – Lafia Residents Open Up Ahead Of Town Hall Meeting
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, will hold a Town Hall meeting with the mining community on Thursday, November 10 in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Nasarawa State is a key mining hub for numerous solid minerals in Nigeria. Residents of Lafia have spoken out about their expectations from Tinubu and what his incoming government can accomplish for them as a state ahead of the scheduled summit.
According to a local, Ahmed Sani, the APC leader’s visit to Lafia is highly appreciated because people there have heard about Tinubu’s visionary qualities.
“We are very excited about this visit because we have heard so many wonderful things about Asiwaju and how he was able to transform Lagos from a state of squalor to prosperity, which is what we are looking forward to in our state, and we have heard of him as a visionary leader and we want someone who can replicate such for us here, as a result, we are eager to hear from him…”
Inuwa Bada said”I have been living in Lafia for over twenty years now after leaving Kano, and I have never been more hopeful in my life. Nassarawa is a state blessed with rich mineral resources, and it is really time to see how these resources can be harnessed more professionally so that Lafia can host major investment companies like we have the Dangote refineries, Lekki deep sea port, and so on in Lagos. Perhaps Tinubu holds the key, so we are eager to hear what he has to say.”
Asiwaju Tinubu has stated that his mission when he becomes President is to harness all of God’s resources for the benefit of the country and the common man; he believes this is a mission that must be accomplished, hence his strategic engagement with key economic players.
Tinubu’s townhall meetings are very commendable because they demonstrate the APC presidential candidate’s preparation.
