Wike Makes Fresh Revelation On Tinubu’s N2bn Palliative For FCT

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has verified that President Bola Tinubu has granted a two-billion-naira palliative package for the FCT.

Wike made this announcement on Monday during a meeting with contractors in his office following the inaugural Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of the current administration.

Affirming the approval of the two billion naira for FCT residents as a palliative measure, the minister highlighted that this fund will primarily address transportation challenges.

He emphasized that while the Federal Government aims to augment project funding, the FCT Administration will also consider its internally generated revenue.

Wike cautioned that contractors will not be afforded any room for excuses.

The Federal Government had endorsed substantial sums for the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, aiming to mitigate the impact of the removal of fuel subsidies on the populace.
