Works Ministry Reacts To Reports That Umahi Was Locked Out Of His Office

The Federal Ministry of Works has clarified that its Minister, David Umahi, was not denied access to his office. Rather, he sought to instill a sense of order and efficiency in the ministry’s operations.

This information was conveyed in a statement released in Abuja on Thursday evening, signed by the Director of the Press and Public Relations Unit, Lere-Adams Blessing.

She stated, “The Hon Minister, in all fairness, made efforts to bring about discipline and organization in the service, ensuring that services are delivered promptly for the betterment of the Nigerian economy and the benefit of all.”

Consequently, to foster a culture of discipline, official work hours in the Federal Ministry of Works will now commence at 9 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays for all staff members.
