Gina Lollobrigida, the most beautiful woman in the world and an Italian actress, died at the age of 95.

Corriere della Sera reported the news, saying she had been “hospitalised for some time,” according to BBC news.

Gina Lollobrigida was one of Europe’s brightest stars in the 1950s and 1960s.

She was dubbed “the most beautiful lady in the world” for her roles in Crossed Swords, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Beautiful But Dangerous.

She co-starred in films with Errol Flynn, Frank Sinatra, Rock Hudson, and Humphrey Bogart.

Lollobrigida, one of the last surviving representatives of Hollywood’s golden age, “made Marilyn Monroe look like Shirley Temple,” according to Bogart.

She moved into politics and photography after her career began to wane in the 1960s.

Lollobrigida, who Bogart described as “making Marilyn Monroe look like Shirley Temple,” was one of the last surviving icons of the golden age of film.

The film industry tycoon Howard Hughes flooded her with marriage proposals. Away from the camera, she did get into a fight with fellow Italian diva Sophia.
