Why Nigerians Should Accept The Verdict From Presidential Tribunal – PFN

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) leadership has appealed to the Nigerian public to accept the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) regarding the outcome of the February 25, 2023 presidential election in the country with a positive attitude.

The PEPC, headed by Justice Haruna Tsammani, is currently reviewing the petitions submitted by the presidential candidates of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), with Atiku and Obi coming in second and third place, respectively.

Bishop Wale Oke, the National President of PFN, delivered this appeal during a press conference held at the conclusion of the organization’s three-day National Executive Retreat 2023.

The retreat, themed “Going from Strength to Strength,” was centered around Psalm 84:7. Oke, who is also the President of Sword of the Spirit Ministries, was joined by other leaders of the PFN at the event, held at the Waniq Event Centre in Jericho, Ibadan.

Oke urged Nigerians to embrace the tribunal’s verdict when it is eventually delivered and to come together in unity to begin the process of healing.

He expressed concern about the recent elections’ impact on the nation and highlighted the example of Sudan, where political turmoil led to a divided nation that continues to suffer from internal conflicts.

Oke emphasized the importance of avoiding such a situation in Nigeria and called for unity and collaboration to rebuild the country.

Addressing President Tinubu and his appointed ministers, Oke urged them to address the challenges that Nigerians are facing, including issues like kidnapping, banditry, farmer-herder clashes, corruption, and economic difficulties.

He appealed for a commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by Nigerians rather than exacerbating them.

Oke also offered words of encouragement to the Nigerian people, assuring them that better days lie ahead and emphasizing the importance of unity and hope for the nation’s future.

He stressed that elections come and go, and those who may have faced defeat today can succeed in the future.
