Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has opened up about how her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, influenced her decision to quit smoking cigarettes after she became pregnant.

Speaking during an interview with Morayo Afolabi, the actress disclosed that she previously smoked cigarettes but has since given up the habit. She explained that while she occasionally uses a vape, she no longer smokes cigarettes.

Recounting her experience, Toyin said her husband reminded her during her pregnancy that smoking was no longer an option, a conversation she said remained with her throughout the period.

The actress also recalled an incident after the birth of their child when she smoked during an outing and her husband noticed. Instead of confronting her, she said he calmly told her that while her personal lifestyle choices were hers to make, he would never tolerate their child adopting smoking or drinking habits.

According to Toyin, Ajeyemi made it clear that if he ever found their child engaging in such behaviours, it would signal the end of their marriage.

Reflecting on their relationship, the actress described her husband as one of the greatest blessings in her life, praising him for allowing her the freedom to be herself while also standing firm on the values he wants their family to uphold.
