Joy Unlimited As APC Leading Aspirant, Prof Oserhiemen Osunbor Takes His Guber Ambition To Orhionmwon Local Government
In a resounding display of political prowess, former State Governor of Edo State, Prof Oserhiemen Osunbor, took his gubernatorial ambition to Orhionmwon Local Government in a ward-to-ward consultation that has set the town abuzz with excitement. The All Progressive Congress (APC) leading aspirant engaged with party stakeholders and garnered overwhelming support from the good residents of Orhionmwon Local Government.
During this remarkable local government tour in Edo South, Osunbor’s messages resonated deeply with his supporters and APC stakeholders, leaving an indelible mark. The community warmly welcomed the former governor, testifying to his transformative works during his brief tenure as Edo State 001.
Captivating videos from the event captured Osunbor’s humility as he joyfully danced and sang alongside his enthusiastic supporters who turned out in large numbers to honor their preferred candidate. The vibrant atmosphere showcased the unity and excitement surrounding Osunbor’s gubernatorial ambition.
Notably, Osunbor’s audacious bid for the top spot has reverberated across party lines, making him the talk of the town and a formidable force for political foes. The All-Progressive Congress (APC) and rival parties alike are grappling with the unstoppable momentum generated by Osunbor’s campaign.
Addressing his supporters, Osunbor underlined his exceptional credentials, proudly stating, “I made a first class in law, I have a PhD, I am a professor, I won the prize for the best student in the Nigeria Bar examination in 1976. Is there any aspirant that can boast of that?”
Speaking on his rich leadership experience, he continued, “I have legislative experience, having been part of the constitutional conference in 1994 and 1995 where we drafted Nigeria’s constitution. Some of our proposals, like the 13 percent derivation, were incorporated into the 1999 constitution, benefiting regions such as Orhionmwon.”
Osunbor further illuminated his political journey, saying, “I was a senator for eight years and then Governor. My extensive experience spans both legislative and executive roles, fostering a strong working relationship with the House of Assembly during my tenure. Beyond contesting elections, I have served my party more than any other aspirant. I say this because when I joined APC in 2014, I actively campaigned for the party during the 2015 elections.”
The groundswell of support and positive reception in Orhionmwon Local Government underscores Osunbor’s unwavering commitment to service and his compelling vision for a brighter future for Edo State.
