The musician explained that if he were a Nigerian woman, he wouldn’t consider dating a Nigerian man.

While emphasizing that he harbors no ill feelings towards Nigerian men or women, Timaya stated that he currently cannot envision himself dating a Nigerian woman.

During a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Timaya remarked, “If I were a Nigerian woman, I wouldn’t date a Nigerian man. As for myself, I am currently involved with someone who is not Nigerian.

“I shy away from dating Nigerian ladies because we share similar backgrounds and upbringings. Such a relationship would be akin to a cat-and-mouse game. It would be too toxic, characterized by excessive dishonesty and a lack of peace.”
